Displays Direct Australia Pty Ltd is a portable and custom exhibition display company based in Crows Nest NSW.  As a business our mission is to provide our clients with a wide portfolio of products, displays and services to choose from.  We have a business focus on providing quality products with top customer service to match.  Reliability and consistency are our key values.

This document sets out our environmental policy.

We recognise that the business we are in has an impact on our environment in terms of the shelf life of the products that we market.  We aim to minimise this impact through the use of products which can be re-cycled and the use of printed graphics that have the lowest possible impact both in the materials used to create them and the effect of their disposal.

To date we have achieved the following:-

Identified new product lines that use fabric rather than PVC prints

  • Trained our sales people in the benefits of fabric prints
  • Changed our supply chain to focus on fabric printing
  • Sold the benefits of fabric prints to our clients
  • Changed our marketing to reflect our new focus on fabric printing
  • We now have a recycle and re-use policy in place for all packaging materials and have reduced the amount of waste by over 50% so far
  • Reduced prices on re-skinning pull-up banners to make it appealing to customers to re-use their existing banners

In order to meet our objectives of reducing waste and using more environmentally friendly products we aim to do the following:-

  • Continue to move our product lines towards fabric printing
  • Create a new focus on printed graphics for custom displays that incorporates more fabric printing
  • Further our re-cycling efforts for pull-up banners
  • Move completely away from purchasing new product packaging and only use re-cycled packaging
  • All office stationary purchases in the future will be on recycled paper

We now have a switch-off policy for office lights during the day when they are unnecessary.

Our company’s environmental policy is given to all staff members when they join the company and they are encouraged to read it and abide by it.

The company’s environmental policy is reviewed annually by the senior management of the company and is amended to reflect the changes in our business over the last twelve months.  Amedments will be incorporated into the document and highlighted to staff.
